The Physio Clinic was established by Paul D Kirwan, MISCP.

Physiotherapy is a health profession concerned with helping to restore wellbeing to people following injury, pain, disease or disability. Physiotherapists can also design programs to help prevent injury, for athletes in pre-season, or for individuals just commencing sports for the first time, such as marathon training.

Those who have suffered injury or disease affecting the muscles, bones, joints, ligaments or tendons of the body will benefit from assessment and treatment from a Physiotherapist.

Chartered Physiotherapists have an extensive ammount of education in human anatomy, physiology, injury, recovery and rehabilitation sciences. With this knowledge and skill base they can assess, diagnose and treat conditions that affect people of all ages, thereby assisiting a patient to recover from injury or prevent injury thereby promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Chartered Physiotherapists use mainly physical means such as exercise, manipulation, joint mobilisation, massage and electrical modalities to help patients reach their goals of treatment.

Acupuncture can also be used when appropriate to reduce pain and help speed recovery as part of your physiotherapy treatment.
